Here's a guide and tips on how to build up Sword's stats, skills and talents in the action adventure MMORG mobile game app Lumia Saga.
Swordsman is a melee type character that uses physical attacks and skills to deal massive damages to enemies. Popular among solo players because of their survivability and great damage output ("really cool looking too!").

DPS Swordsman
- For this Swordsman build, your focus is to deal high DPS and Burst damages to enemies. Note that you need to balance Energy Gain and Skill Usage to maintain high DPS, refer to the Talents and Skill Builds for more info.Stats Build:
- Refer here when upgrading other stat sources like Gems, Runes, Pets, Adventurer Abilities, Tech Tree, Enhancements, Outfits and more.
Stats to Focus On:
- ATK = To increase base damage and healing (also depends on your upgrades from other sources).
- CRIT = To increase crit rate and damages/healing (highly recommended!).
- HASTE = To increase attack speed, DPS, and Energy gain. Note that Haste's potential will increase the longer the battle goes, because you'll get more hits overtime (tested frame by frame + timer). Limited potential for PVP though.
- Penetrate = Nice stat to increase damage against high DEF enemies.
- CRIT Trauma = To increase critical damage and crit healing.
- DODGE and BLOCK = To help increase survivability. Not really good for early game, but gets better as you level up higher. Really helpful to lessen damages while attacking in melee range.
- HIT and Accuracy = Additional stats mainly for PVP. HIT to decrease DODGE rate, and Accuracy to decrease BLOCK rate.
- Resilience and CRIT Defense = Resilience to decrease CRIT rate, and CRIT Defense to reduce CRIT Trauma of incoming attacks.
- Note: Stats not included above are also ok, if you think it's best for your character, just take note that too much diversification would also result some stats to fall short.
- PVP would also depend on the meta game, so adjust some of your stats if needed especially for late game.
Other Info:
- LIFE, PHY.DEF, and MAG.DEF = Depends on your upgrades from other sources.- Note: Stats not included above are also ok, if you think it's best for your character, just take note that too much diversification would also result some stats to fall short.
- PVP would also depend on the meta game, so adjust some of your stats if needed especially for late game.
DPS Swordsman Stats Build
- To help you find and get specific stats from Magic Cores for your gears, refer to the recommended stats per gear below. Note that not all stats are available in every gear (design for game balancing). Even lower grade Magic Cores will sometimes generate orange stats, so farm, synthesize or buy them too.
- Refine and replace existing random attributes with higher ones as you go.
- PVE Build = Better for early to mid game, and since PVP stats are useless at this point because of the unfair PVP matching, and lower defense type stats. Focus your Gems for late game PVP builds though.
- PVP Build = Better once you are able to reach higher levels, and start to get some PVP wins (mid to late game). Defense type stats are also high at this point.
Weapon
- Focus on (PVE/PVP): CRIT, HASTE, Penetrate, and CRIT Trauma- Note: Cap HASTE to 10%, replace some HASTE with ATK if it exceeds 10%.
- Optional (PVP): If you need more HIT or Accuracy, replace some Penetrate and/or ATK.
Jewelries (Ring, ACC, and Necklace)
- Focus on: ATK and CRIT- 3rd and 4th Stat (PVE): HASTE and Penetrate
- 3rd and 4th Stat (PVP): HIT and Resilience
- Note: Cap HASTE to 10%, replace some HASTE with Resilience if it exceeds 10%.
Garb
- Focus on: CRIT, DODGE, and BLOCK- 4th Stat (PVE): HASTE or Penetrate
- 4th Stat (PVP): CRIT Defense
- Optional (PVP): If you need more Accuracy, replace some BLOCK.
- Note: Cap HASTE to 10%, replace some HASTE with Penetrate if it exceeds 10%.
Accessories (Waist, Shoes and Gloves)
- Focus on: LIFE, DODGE, and BLOCK- 4th Stat (PVE): PHY.DEF or MAG.DEF
- 4th Stat (PVP): Accuracy
Quick Stats Summary Lvl 50+
- With the Stats above and Talents below (plus other basic light upgrades), you should have the following stats (minimum targets) around Lvl 50+, increase them as you go higher and unlock new tier of Magic Cores or Enhancements.- CRIT = 25%+ (increase as high as possible, without CRIT +10% Talent. One way is to buy Starstones from the Store with Crystals. Get free Crystals by completing your Daily Activity Level in the Event Center)
- CRIT Trauma = 160%+
- Haste = 10% (Just cap this to 10% with Haste +5% Talent, this should be enough for Swordsman, to be versatile for both PVE (long battles) and to get other stats for PVP).
- DODGE = 15%+
- BLOCK = 10%+ (increase higher with some Gems)
- Penetrate = 10%+ (Increase higher with Gems and other sources, with no Reverberation Talent, cap it to 15% for now, increase at higher levels if you like)
- HIT = 110%+ (PVP)
- Resilience = 20%+ (PVP)
- Accuracy = 10%+ (PVP)
- CRIT Defense = 10%+ (PVP)
- *ATK, LIFE, PHY.DEF, and MAG.DEF = Depends on your upgrades from other sources like Gems, Runes, Pets, Adventurer Abilities, Tech Tree, Enhancements, Outfits and more.
Swordsman Skill Build
Ideal Battle Style: Semi Auto
- As much as possible, avoid tanking and taking damages unless needed, go to the sides or back of the Boss to avoid direct attacks for example. Manually dodge strong AoE attacks, learn their attack patterns.- NOTE: Set the correct auto cast trigger conditions to help you spam skills! Please note that in-order for this build to work, you must follow the recommended parameters below.
Sword Wind Chop
- Swordsman's normal attacks are mainly used to regain Energy to spam Void Chop, do extra damages, and trigger Vortex Talent, while spamming skills.Swordsman Skills Set-up:
- This is to spam Void Chop when Energy is equal or higher than 450 (Storm Strike 300 + Void Chop 150). This setup will always keep enough Energy for your Storm Strike. Note that this build will focus on using both high DPS skill and high Burst damage skill, to get higher overall DPS.
- With Wind Blade talent, you should be able to spam 2 Void Chops every 3 normal attacks and only do 3 quick attacks (1 sec) to regain Energy for the next Storm Strike.
- Storm Strike = Auto-cast (Energy is higher than 0%)
- To always cast. It doesn't matter if the CD is 10 sec or if your attack triggers Vortex talent to decrease Storm Strike's CD, as long that it's available, fire away and do burst damages along with your main DPS skill!
- If you are lucky and Vortex talent procs 3 times in a row, Wind Blade can still nicely cover the Energy needed!
- Whirlwind Stomp = Manual for timing or Auto Cast (Target is less than 3 meters away)
- Decent AoE skill vs mobs with no Energy cost. Learn and max Reckless Abandon talent to turn this skill to a non-stop +20% DMG Buff.
- Hurricane Flying Blade = Manual for timing or Auto Cast (Target is less than 0 meters away)
- Ranged attack, good as additional damage and healing (40% of ATK, lasts 8 seconds), with no Energy cost. Learn Wind Walk talent if you like, for closing distances and chasing targets in PVP.
- Thunderclap Jumping Chop = Manual for timing or Auto Cast (Target is less than 0 meters away)
- For closing distances, better for PVP especially against ranged characters. Really bad for PVE because sometimes your character would jump too close to the Boss and no longer auto cast some of your skills, the Boss will target you instead of your Tank, and more.
DPS Swordsman Talents Build
Talents To Get:
- Please note that these are just suggestions, you are free to mix and match according to your play-style or preference (including PVP). Just remember that you need to balance your Energy gain and Skill usage to maintain high DPS.
- Test them by entering Team Instances and Bosses that you can solo for example.
- Lvl 30: Wind Blade = I know you really want to get that Crit +10% Talent but getting it would also decrease your Energy Gain and DPS. Get Wind Blade instead to spam Void Chop, Swordsman's best DPS skill. Don't worry you can still get high CRIT from other sources.- Test them by entering Team Instances and Bosses that you can solo for example.
- Lvl 40: Haste = Once you can get 10% Haste together with this Talent, just do normal attacks + Wind Blade talent to gain faster Energy per hit. The extra 300 Energy from Violent Burst is good to trigger more skills, but Haste can do the same during long battles.
- Lvl 45: Divide = Makes your Void Chops do splash damages, decent for PVE, but better get the others if you can, like Wind Rage Talent (requires Energy Boost Skill Book), or Wind Walk for PVP.
- Lvl 50: Reckless Abandon = Endless +20% DMG buff, and can be amplified by CRIT, definitely go for this one. Air Slash will only amplify Storm Strike, good if CRIT Rate is high, but this build will not only focus on Storm Strike, so better get Reckless Abandon.
Skill Books
Energy Boost and Unyielding Will
- 2 optional skills that can be learned after obtaining their Skill Books, tap "Source" in-game to check how to get them. Experiment together with your existing skills, and use if you like.- TIP: Save your Gold to buy these items from the Store > Trading if you can't get them from drops.
Energy Boost
- Looks really good, the Energy bonus together with Wind Rage talent would give you more skills to spam!Unyielding Will
- Looks better for PVP, to increase survivability but would sacrifice damage if you'll learn the Unyielding talent, CD is kinda too long as well for the buff duration. Might be useful to lessen certain Boss nuke attacks, get if you like.Full "Storm Strike" Build
When To Use a Full "Storm Strike" Build?
- If most of your normal attacks crits, and Void Chop rarely procs, otherwise the above build is still better because of Void Chop's sustainable high DPS.- More of a late game build, this will require different set of stats, talents and skills.
- NOTE: Storm Strike build is a bit better for PVE, but for PVP it can be countered with Resilience stats (unless you'll team up with characters that can reduce Resilience of targets), Storm Strike's DPS heavily depends on Crits.
Other Info
- Please note that these are just suggestions, you are free to mix and match according to your play-style or preference (including PVP). Just remember that you need to balance your Energy gain and Skill usage to maintain high DPS.- NOTE: Due to the current PVP matching system, it's better to wait until your Lvl is high enough to get better chances of winning, but at least do some PVP tasks to get rewards.
