Vanguard ZERO: Bermuda Triangle Coral Deck Build and Guide


Here's a quick guide and tips for Bermuda Triangle Shangri-La Star, Coral Deck users in the RPG mobile card game Vanguard ZERO. Available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).

There are many combos that you can perform with Coral and her skill that returns rear-guards to your hand! Furthermore, try using Shangri-La Star's Limit Break to return a rear-guard to your hand, and take the chance to put an Aurora Star into your Soul.

Bermuda Triangle Coral Deck

Notable Info

   - Cross Ride Vanguard = Permanent +2000 Power when condition is met.
   - Multi Attacks = Can attack more than 3 times in 1 turn.

First Vanguard and Sentinel Cards (PG)

Angelic Star, Coral (FV)Elly BT PG
   - Angelic Star, Coral (FV) = Higher chance to ride Shiny Star, Coral (G2) or Aurora Star, Coral (G3). Can be used as Booster if you did not get any "Coral" cards.
   - Mermaid Idol, Elly (G1) = Add at least x2, but aim for x3 or x4.

Recommended Cards (Must Have)

   - Fresh Star, Coral (G1) = Add x4, recommended as Grade 1 Vanguard.
   - Shiny Star, Coral (G2) = Add x4, recommended as Grade 2 Vanguard.
   - Aurora Star, Coral (G3) = Add x4, your sub Vanguard for this build.
   - Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) = Add x4, your main Vanguard for this build.

Suggested Cards To Add (Budget Cards)

Grade 1 Cards

   - Bermuda Triangle Cadet, Caravel (G1) = Limit to x1 or x2. When placed, SB2 to draw a card.
   - Library Madonna, Rion (G1) = Limit to x2. Mainly used to add damage to your Damage Zone (aka "Self Damage") to activate Limit Breaks earlier than usual. Also used to buff up certain units, and to increase your success chance to Heal, if you pulled a Heal Trigger.
   - Blazer Idols (G1) = Add as filler. When placed, 1 of your other units gets +2,000 Power until end of turn.
   - Pearl Sisters, Perle (G1) = Add x4, also add Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) if you want to add this card.
   - Sweets Harmony, Mona (G1) = Add as filler. When placed, CB1 to return 1 of your other rear-guards to your hand.

Grade 2 Cards

   - Girls' Rock, Rio (G2) = Add x4, used to Soul Charge 1 and to draw a card, also a good candidate for bouncing cards.
   - Intelli-beauty, Loire (G2) = Add x3~x4. Mainly used to add damage to your Damage Zone (aka "Self Damage") to activate Limit Breaks earlier than usual. Also used to buff up certain units, and to increase your success chance to Heal, if you pulled a Heal Trigger.
   - Top Idol, Aqua (G2) = Add as filler, nice base Power and Defense.

Grade 3 Cards

   - Rainbow Light, Carine (G3) = Add as filler. When this unit is returned to your hand, CB1 to Soul Charge 1, and draw a card.

   - NOTE: Feel free to try other cards not listed here, and add any Grade 3 cards you have available, just make sure to follow the recommended Trigger Set below.

RRR and Other Cards (If Available)

Pearl Sisters G2Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3)
   - Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) = Add x3~x4, also add Pearl Sisters, Perle (G1) if you want to add this card.
   - Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3) = Add up to x4, nice rear-guard with 11,000 base Power, or as a sub Vanguard.

   - NOTE: Feel free to try other cards not listed here, and add any Grade 3 cards you have available, just make sure to follow the recommended Trigger Set below.

   - NOTE: For cards that you don't have, just use the guide above to add filler cards to your deck for now, but if you want to add cards to the existing ones, feel free to do so. Also note that new cards might become available in the future, so feel free to test them out as well.

Rank Fight Trigger Set

   - Critical Trigger (x9), Draw Trigger (x0), Stand Trigger (x0), and Heal Trigger (x4)
   - Critical Trigger (x0), Draw Trigger (x0~x4), Stand Trigger (x5~x9), and Heal Trigger (x4)
   - Refer to the build above (screenshot) for example Triggers Set for specific cards. Reduce and balance Draw Triggers if you are getting "Deck Outs".

For Non Rank Fight Battles

   - NOTE: Feel free to experiment with other Trigger Sets according to your preference. Add more Critical Triggers and/or Stand Triggers if you want to use this deck for certain events, like non Rank Fights that would require you to finish the battle asap.

Bermuda Triangle Battle Strategies

Mulligan (Starting Cards)

   - Fresh Star, Coral (G1) = Keep x1, your main priority!
   - Shiny Star, Coral (G2) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 2 ride.
   - Girl's Rock, Rio (G2) = Keep x1, or any Grade 2 card.

   - Aurora Star, Coral (G3) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 3 ride (optional).
   - Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) = Keep x1 if you did not get Aurora Star, Coral (G3).
   - Maiden of Blossom Rain (G1) = Keep at least x1 (optional).

Basic Battle Strategies

   - During your first turn, ride Fresh Star, Coral (G1) to activate your FV's skill (search a Grade 2 or 3 "Coral" card).

   - During your 2nd turn, ride Shiny Star, Coral (G2) if you have a Grade 3 card in hand to use as Vanguard next turn, otherwise ride any Grade 2 card to try and search Aurora Star, Coral (G3).
   - If you rode Shiny Star, Coral (G2), place a rear-guard (front row) that you want to bounce to hand like Rio (G2), then use Shiny Star, Coral (G2) to land a hit to the Vanguard to bounce her back. You can also bounce a rear-guard (back row) if you have Fresh Star, Coral (G1) in Soul but this is optional (use if needed).

Aurora Star, Coral (G3)Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3)Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3)
   - You can fight with any Grade 3 card, just consider the situation to get more advantage.

   - Riding Aurora Star, Coral (G3) then Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) would give you a Cross Ride advantage but you can also ride straight to Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) especially when you have enough "self damage" cards in hand but low "Coral" cards to feed into Soul.

   - Consider riding Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3) to setup multi attacks, especially when your opponent is at 5 Damage! Also helpful when you don't have Intercept cards to use and want to push damage.

How To Use Pearl Sisters (G1) and (G2)

   - If you have them, make sure to manage your resources well and not run out of cards or reduce Soul cards (unless needed). Use both units to keep the number of Soul cards intact while using them as draw source.
   - In case you are wondering, if Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) got both skills, the (SC1 and draw a card) will proc first before the (SB1 return 1 rear guard to your hand) skill. You may also place more add-on skills to do multiple Soul Charges or Draw more cards if you like.
   - NOTE: If you want to increase cards in Soul, do not activate the second skill (Soul Blast). Use second skill to bounce cards if needed.

How To Use Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3)

Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3)
   - (VC): LB4 (1/Turn), CB1  to get +3,000 Power until end of turn. Then, return 1 of your rear-guards to your hand, and put a "Coral" from your hand into your Soul. If you put, draw 2 cards.

   - Drawing cards is always a powerful skill, so try to keep some "Coral" cards in hand (bounce them from field if needed) and use her skill to draw more, especially Intercept cards and Sentinel cards (PG)!
   - NOTE: Limit Break skills can be used earlier than usual by using self damaging cards like Library Madonna, Rion (G1) or Intelli-beauty, Loire (G2).

   - Cross Ride: If Aurora Star, Coral (G3) is in your Soul, this unit gets +2,000 Power.)
   - A 13,000 base Power Vanguard would force your opponent to adjust their combos to 13k/18k/23k.

Counter Blasts

Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3)Aurora Star, Coral (G3)Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3)Rio G2Carine G3
   - Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) = LB4 (1/Turn), CB1  to get +3,000 Power until end of turn. Then, return 1 of your rear-guards to your hand, and put a "Coral" from your hand into your Soul. If you put, draw 2 cards. 
   - Aurora Star, Coral (G3) = (1/Turn), CB1 to Soul Charge 1, and return 1 of your rear-guards to your hand. Use only if needed.
   - Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3) = LB4 When this unit attacks a Vanguard, CB2 to return up to 2 of your rear-guards to your hand, and call a card from your deck (you may also return 1 or less).
   - Girls' Rock, Rio (G2) = To use her skill (CB1 to SC1 and draw a card).
   - Rainbow Light, Carine (G3) = To use her skill (CB1 to SC1 and draw a card).

Soul Blasts

Bermuda Triangle Cadet,  Caravel (G1)Pearl Sisters G2
   - Bermuda Triangle Cadet,  Caravel (G1) = When placed, SB2 to draw a card. Just make sure not to Soul Blast Aurora Star, Coral (G3) to maintain the Cross Ride.
   - Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) = SB1 return 1 rear guard to your hand (without second skill).

   - NOTE: Also consider other card effects that requires Counter Blasts if needed.

How To Build 21,000+ Power Columns

Vanguard + Booster

   - Aurora Star, Coral (G3) = 10,000 base Power Vanguard (11,000 base Power if Shiny Star, Coral (G2) is in your Soul, +5,000 Power when attacking a Vanguard (LB4)).
   - Aurora Star, Coral (G3) + Any Booster with 5,000~7,000 Power = 21,000~23,000 total Power (LB4).

   - Shangri-La Star, Coral (G3) = 11,000 base Power Vanguard (13,000 base Power with Cross Ride, +3,000 Power with skill).
   - Shangri-La, Coral (G3) + Any Booster with 5,000~7,000 Power = 21,000~23,000 total Power.

   - Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3) = 11,000 base Power Vanguard.
   - Eternal Idol, Pacifica (G3) + Any Booster with 5,000~7,000 Power = 21,000~23,000 total Power (23,000~25,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff).

Rear Guards + Booster

   - Any 7,000 Booster (G1)
   - 7,000 Booster (G1) + Any Rear Guard with 9,000~11,000 Power = 16,000~18,000 total Power (21,000~23,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff).

   - NOTE: Other cards not included here are also OK to use but some are very situational or unsustainable, use them if you like. Also adjust the numbers above depending on your Booster's Power.
