Vanguard ZERO: Farming Materials and Crafting Cards Tips and Guide

Here's some tips and guide on how to craft useful cards that would help you early game while building your decks in the card battle RPG mobile game Vanguard ZERO. Available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store)

Aside from the Gacha and other freebies, the best way to get more cards early game is through Card Crafting!

Before crafting cards, spend your Gems and Gacha Tickets to draw some cards first.

Vanguard ZERO: Best Common Cards to Craft Early Game

Quick Crafting Tips

   - C Rarity Cards = If you need more cards early game, just craft "Common Cards" because Crafting Stones are very common and easy to get.
   - TIP: Switch card view from "Owned" to "All" while building decks to craft Common cards that you don't have. Also Use the "magnifying glass" icon to filter all Common Cards if needed.

   - R Rarity Cards = You can get these Rare cards from Gacha draws since they are still easy to get, craft only if you really need the card and have extra crafting materials to use.

   - RR and RRR Rarity Cards = "Double R" and "Triple R" cards would take time to craft or collect, so keep farming and save your crafting materials for later use.

   - C Card Requirements: C = x100 Stones.
   - R Card Requirements: R = x100 Pieces;  C = x200 Stones.
   - RR Card Requirements: RR = x100 Orbs;  R = x200 Pieces;  C = x400 Stones
   - RRR Card Requirements: RRR = x100 Crystals;  RR = x200 Orbs;  R = x400 Pieces;  C = x800 Stones

   - SP Cards = These shiny cards can be crafted if you have x4 copy of that card, but requires higher crafting materials than normal ones (this is optional though).

How To Farm Crafting Materials

Vanguard ZERO: Farming Crafting Materials

Character Fight Mode

   - Can be obtained as Drop Rewards (specific Crystals, Orbs and Pieces depending on each clan).
   - Crafting Stones can be used across all Clans.

   - NOTE: All crafting materials that isn't a Stone, only drops x1 each item (if you are lucky) per battle... so it's gonna take long to craft high rarity cards! One way to get rarer and higher number of crafting materials is by clearing missions in Character Fights (first time clear rewards).

   - Once you are done unlocking all difficulties and getting all first time rewards, start farming crafting materials. Choose 1 or 2 clans to focus on first, crafting cards is the only way to play certain clans if you can't get the cards you like from the Gacha.
   - One way to play this game is to focus on clans depending on the cards that you are able to pull from Gacha, then farm crafting materials to enhance that clan.

Double Drop Events!

(Also watch out for Double Drop events! Highly Recommended!)

Best Way To Use Gems

   - TIP: This is optional, but I would recommend using Gems to buy more Stamina or for recovering "Fight Counts or Challenges", to farm more crafting materials from "Character Fights" that you are aiming for. Go VP farming (Rank Fights) to get Gacha Tickets instead.
   - Even better if you can hold some of your Gems (for Stamina) and use them during "Double Drop" events to get more crafting materials!

*NOTE: Check their official Facebook Page or Twitter for updates when x2 Double Drops will start/end.

Recovery of Fight Challenges

   - NOTE: You can still farm "Very Hard" and "Hard" modes by selecting "Fight" or "Quick Fight" to open the option where you can spend Gems to recover all 5 Fight Challenges.

Crafting Cards (Double Drop Events)

   - NOTE: Farming materials is luck based, and also depends on the materials you already have, farm what you need. The info below will assume that you have 0 materials.
   - TIP: If you'll farm materials during "x2 VP Events" and/or "Guaranteed Drop Campaign" as well, that would be a nice bonus!

Free Daily Stamina

   - 1 Stamina Every 5 Minutes = 96 Stamina every 8 hours (possible 288 Stamina/day).
   - Daily Login Mission = Login and claim all free Stamina (120 total Stamina).
   - Total Free Stamina Per Day = 408.
   - NOTE: You need to login multiple times within the day to spend those Stamina. Also take note of the time of the server reset (Fight Challenges resets), and start/end time of Double Drop Events (check in-game Notice).

How To Craft 1 RRR Card During Double Drop Events

*NOTE: Check in-game Notice, or their official Facebook Page or Twitter for updates when x2 Double Drops will start/end.

Farm Normal Difficulty (For 3 Days)

   - Once the Double Drop event starts, farm Normal Difficulty non-stop by just using all of your Free Daily Stamina (at least 375 Stamina, refer above for info = 25 Quick Fights per Day).
   - Day 3 = Around 180 RR Orbs, but you can stop once you hit 150+ RR Orbs. Use extra Stamina to fill up the needed RRR Crystals (at least 5, check below for more info).
   - Total Gems Used = 0 Gems.

Farm Easy Difficulty (Gem Spam!)

   - Use Gems this time because most Stamina will be used while farming Normal Difficulty above (same Double Drop event). Spend 2,000 Gems for 1,500 Stamina or 150 Quick Fights.
   - Farm Easy Difficulty until you can get 360+ R Pieces.
   - Total Gems Used = 2,000 Gems.

Farm Hard and Very Hard Difficulty (For 2 Days)

   - Start once the Double Drop Event for Hard and above starts!
   - Clear these 2 difficulties first then refresh (5 Fight Challenges) 3 times for each difficulty per day (that's 20 fights each difficulty, 400 total Gems used per day), to farm more RRR Crystals.
   - NOTE: Use all Free Daily Stamina (375 Stamina at least, refer above for info).
   - Spend another 300 Gems for additional 225 Stamina to cover all fights (per day, add more if needed).

   - Day 1 = Around 48 RRR Crystals, 24 RR Orbs, and 24 R Pieces (700 Gems used).
   - Day 2 = Around 96 RRR Crystals, 48 RR Orbs, and 48 R Pieces (700 Gems used). Use extra Stamina to get 100 RRR Crystals before/during/after this event, when you get the chance.
   - Total Gems Used = 1,400 Gems.

Summary

   - Estimated Days To Complete = 5 Days! (6 Days in-case you missed the target, just farm what you need after the event).
   - Total Gems Used = 3,400~3,500 Gems (from scratch).

   - NOTE: If you think you can get that specific RRR card by using 35~40 packs, then use your Gems to draw, otherwise it's better to craft that card, especially if you only need few materials.
   - *If you are aiming for multiple RRR cards, drawing might be a good alternative but it would still depend on luck, you might get at least 1 of them or none at all.

   - *However, if you are aiming for multiple RRR, RR and R cards using 40 packs, drawing and getting at least 1 RRR or 3 RR from your list is already good, even better if you are lucky to get more than that (best during banner/clan rate ups to get higher chance).

Other Info: Character Fight Drop Campaign! NEW!

   - During this campaign, the chances of getting clan-specific crafting materials will be increased to 100%! Grab lots of crafting materials and strengthen your decks!
   - Note that each clan will become available once a week, but all clans are available during weekends.

Other Methods

Card Deconstruction

   - Automatic once you get your 5th identical card from Gacha (this is the easiest way to farm crafting materials especially for your Common cards, if needed).

   - RRR = x30 Crystals;  RR = x25 Orbs;  R = x20 Pieces;  C = x15 Stones

Deconstructing SP Cards!

   - These shiny cards can be deconstructed to get more crafting materials (check card details then select the "Deconstruct" option). SP Cards can be obtained randomly from the Gacha as well.
Vanguard ZERO: Card Deconstruction
   - NOTE: Double check and make sure that you have x4 cards total (Normal and SP) before deconstructing SP cards to avoid mistakes, unless you don't need the card.
   - This is one good way to obtain more rarer crafting materials.

   - RRR = x50 Crystals;  RR = x50 Orbs;  R = x50 Pieces;  C = x50 Stones
   - Example: Deconstructing 2 Rare (R) SP Cards would give you 100 Pieces of crafting materials, enough to craft 1 R card.

   - NOTE: PR cards that can be obtained from Rank Fight's Season Ranking rewards can't be crafted or deconstructed.

Limited Time Clan Events

   - Play these Clan Events to unlock higher difficulties and grab more limited-time Crafting Materials for specific clans.
   - Complete Daily and Time-Limited Missions during this clan event to get more exclusive Crafting Materials and other freebies for that clan!

   - Craft other cards if you need them for your strategy, or to fulfill deck requirements.
