Here's a quick guide and tips for Bermuda Triangle Riviere Deck users in the RPG mobile card game Vanguard ZERO. Available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
The skill of Riviere cards is launched each time when riding on a Riviere of 1 higher Grade. One may increase the hand cards by skillfully riding it. Finally, use Top Idol's Persona Blast to release the skill and attack the opponent with cards powered up.
Bermuda Triangle Riviere Deck
Notable Info
- Multi Attacks = Can attack more than 3 times in 1 turn.- 16,000+ RG Columns = Easy to build 17,000~18,000 Power columns.
- 21,000+ RG Columns = 21,000~24,000 columns are possible but only until the end of turn, can be pushed to 26,000~29,000 Power.
First Vanguard and Sentinel Cards (PG)
- Mermaid Idol, Elly (G1) = Add at least x2, but aim for x3 or x4.
- Mermaid Idol, Riviere (G1) = Add x4, recommended as Grade 1 Vanguard to activate your FV's skill.
- Super Idol, Riviere (G2) = Add x4, recommended as Grade 2 Vanguard, to draw a card, and to add +1,000 Power to your Top Idol, Riviere (G3) later on.
- Top Idol, Riviere (G3) = Add x4, your main Vanguard for this build.
- 11,000 base Power Vanguard if Super Idol, Riviere (G2) is in your Soul. When attack hits, Persona Blast (discard a Top Idol, Riviere (G3) from your hand) to have 3 rear-guards get +5,000 Power until end of turn.
- Mermaid Idol, Sedna (G1) = Add x3, nice base Power and Defense.
- Top Idol, Aqua (G2) = Add x3~x4, nice base Power and Defense.
- Rainbow Light, Carine (G3) = Optional card, add if you need more cards. Best used if you have Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) as Vanguard.
- Super Idol, Ceram (G3) = Add up to x4, can reach 13,000 Power (CB1).
- NOTE: Feel free to try other cards not listed here, and add any Grade 3 cards you have available, just make sure to follow the recommended Trigger Set below.
- Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) = Add as filler if you need more cards (this card's base Power got buffed to 11,000 so you can also use as rear guard to easily hit 23,000 Power columns).
- NOTE: Feel free to try other cards not listed here, and add any Grade 3 cards you have available, just make sure to follow the recommended Trigger Set below.
Recommended Cards (Must Have)
- Super Idol, Riviere (G2) = Add x4, recommended as Grade 2 Vanguard, to draw a card, and to add +1,000 Power to your Top Idol, Riviere (G3) later on.
- Top Idol, Riviere (G3) = Add x4, your main Vanguard for this build.
- 11,000 base Power Vanguard if Super Idol, Riviere (G2) is in your Soul. When attack hits, Persona Blast (discard a Top Idol, Riviere (G3) from your hand) to have 3 rear-guards get +5,000 Power until end of turn.
Suggested Cards To Add (Budget Cards)
Grade 1 Cards
- Mermaid Idol, Felucca (G1) = Limit to x1~x2, when placed SC1. Good alternative if you don't have Pearl Sister cards.- Mermaid Idol, Sedna (G1) = Add x3, nice base Power and Defense.
- Pearl Sisters, Perle (G1) = Add x3~x4, also add Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) if you want to add this card.
- Navy Dolphin, Amur (G1) = Limit to x1~x2, optional card used to filter cards in hand and try to get more Grade 2 Intercept cards, a Sentinel Card (PG), or any cards that you need.
Grade 2 Cards
- Mermaid Idol, Flute (G2) = Add x4, can reach 11,000 Power (if you have 4 or more rear guards, including this card). Good unit for hitting 23,000 Power columns.- Top Idol, Aqua (G2) = Add x3~x4, nice base Power and Defense.
- Snow White of the Corals, Claire (G2) = Add as filler if you need more cards.
Grade 3 Cards
- Bermuda Princess, Lena (G3) = Add as filler if you need more cards.- Rainbow Light, Carine (G3) = Optional card, add if you need more cards. Best used if you have Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) as Vanguard.
- Super Idol, Ceram (G3) = Add up to x4, can reach 13,000 Power (CB1).
- NOTE: Feel free to try other cards not listed here, and add any Grade 3 cards you have available, just make sure to follow the recommended Trigger Set below.
RRR and Other Cards (If Available)
- Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) = Add x3~x4, also add Pearl Sisters, Perle (G1) if you want to add this card.
- Top Idol, Pacifica (G3) = Add up to x4, your sub Vanguard for this build.- Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) = Add as filler if you need more cards (this card's base Power got buffed to 11,000 so you can also use as rear guard to easily hit 23,000 Power columns).

- Critical Trigger (x0), Draw Trigger (x5), Stand Trigger (x4), and Heal Trigger (x4)- Refer to the build above (screenshot) for example Triggers Set for specific cards. Reduce and balance Draw Triggers if you are getting "Deck Outs".
For Non Rank Fight Battles

Mulligan (Starting Cards)
- Mermaid Idol, Riviere (G1) = Keep x1, your main priority!
- Super Idol, Riviere (G2) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 2 ride.
- Top Idol, Riviere (G3) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 3 ride. Keep x2 if you have secured your Grade 1 and 2 rides.
- Mermaid Idol, Elly (G1) = Keep at least x1.
- Super Idol, Riviere (G2) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 2 ride.
- Top Idol, Riviere (G3) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 3 ride. Keep x2 if you have secured your Grade 1 and 2 rides.
- Mermaid Idol, Elly (G1) = Keep at least x1.
Basic Battle Strategies
- Focus on riding all Revieres until you can ride Top Idol, Riviere (G3) and draw 2 cards total if successful. Try to ride Super Idol, Riviere (G2) to add +1,000 permanent Power to your Top Idol, Riviere (G3) later on.How To Use Pearl Sisters (G1) and (G2)
- In case you are wondering, if Pearl Sisters, Perla (G2) got both skills, the (SC1 and draw a card) will proc first before the (SB1 return 1 rear guard to your hand) skill. You may also place more add-on skills to do multiple Soul Charges or Draw more cards if you like.
- NOTE: If you want to increase cards in Soul, do not activate the second skill (Soul Blast). Use second skill to bounce cards if needed.
How To Use Top Idol, Riviere (G3)
- This deck build will focus more on building combos with high Power columns using Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) Persona Blasts or by using Trigger bonuses (+5,000 Power).
- Try to land 2 or 3 Damage per turn depending on number of Intercepts, and also calculate and use your Power distribution well when using Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) skill (+5,000 or +10,000 columns).
- When your opponent's Damage is 5, better hit a rear guard if you want to use her skill, to avoid getting blocked by a Sentinel Card (PG).
- Stand Triggers are also useful here to exploit your high Power rear-guards, combo with her skill as well.
- In case of a miss-ride, or if you think you can't do Persona Blasts anymore (copies went to Damage zone or Drop zone), consider riding straight to your sub Vanguard Top Idol, Pacifica (G3) if you have and focus on using her skills.
- When your opponent's Damage is 5, also consider riding Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) if you like, to try and break through those Sentinel Cards (PG) using her skill.
Counter Blasts and Soul Blasts
- Top Idol, Pacifica (G3) = When this unit's attack hits a Vanguard, SB6 and CB4 to call up to 3 cards from your deck (you may also call two or less). Use her as Vanguard or Rear Guard (depends on number of cards in Soul), land your 5th Damage, then activate her skill to setup another attackers to try and break through those Sentinel Cards (PG).
- Super Idol, Ceram (G3) = CB1 to add +3,000 Power, use if you need to land her attack, conserve your CBs and use them wisely especially if you have Top Idol, Pacifica (G3). Heal Triggers can help recover those CBs if you are lucky.
- NOTE: Also consider other card effects that requires Counter Blasts if needed.
How To Build 21,000+ Power Columns
Vanguard + Booster
- Top Idol, Riviere (G3) = 10,000 base Power Vanguard (can reach 11,000 Power if Super Idol, Riviere (G2) is in your Soul).- Velvet Voice, Raindear (G3) = 11,000 base Power Vanguard.
- Riviere (G3) or Raindear (G3) + Any Booster with 7,000~8,000 Power = 18,000~19,000 total Power (23,000~24,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff).
- Top Idol, Pacifica (G3) = 10,000 base Power Vanguard (can reach 14,000 Power if you have 4 or more rear guards, during your turn).
- Top Idol, Pacifica (G3) + Any Booster with 7,000~8,000 Power = 21,000~22,000 total Power.
Rear Guards + Booster
- Mermaid Idol, Sedna (G1) = 8,000 Power Booster.- Sedna (G1) + Any Rear Guard with 9,000~10,000 Power = 17,000~18,000 total Power.
- can reach 22,000~23,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff.
- can reach 22,000~23,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +5,000 skill buff.
- can reach 27,000~28,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +10,000 skill buff.
- Sedna (G1) + Mermaid Idol, Flute (G2) or Raindear (G3) = 19,000 total Power (24,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +5,000 skill buff).
- Sedna (G1) + Super Idol, Ceram (G3) = 21,000 total Power (CB1), can reach 26,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +5,000 skill buff.
- Any 7,000 Power Booster (G1)
- 7,000 Booster (G1) + Any Rear Guard with 9,000~10,000 Power = 16,000~17,000 total Power.
- can reach 21,000~22,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff.
- can reach 21,000~22,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +5,000 skill buff.
- can reach 26,000~27,000 Power with Top Idol, Riviere's (G3) +10,000 skill buff.

- NOTE: Other cards not included here are also OK to use but some are very situational or unsustainable, use them if you like. Also adjust the numbers above depending on your Booster's Power.
