Vanguard ZERO: Gold Paladin Liberator Deck Build and Guide

Here's a quick guide and tips for Gold Paladin Solitary Liberator, Gancelot Deck users in the RPG mobile card game Vanguard ZERO. Available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).

The Limit Break activates when rode upon, that is known as a Break Ride! Not only does Gancelot raise the power of it's own rear-guards, it adds a Blaster Blade Liberator to hand as well. Increase your power and retire opponent's rear-guards at the same time!

Gold Paladin Battle Strategies

Mulligan (Starting Cards)

   - Any Grade 1 Card (G1) = Keep x1 or x2 to ensure a Grade 1 Vanguard, preferably Little Liberator, Marron (G1).
   - Any Grade 2 Card (G2) = Keep x1 or x2 to ensure a Grade 2 Vanguard, preferably Liberator of the Flute, Escrad (G2) if you have.
   - Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3) = Keep x1 to ensure a Grade 3 Vanguard.

   - Steel Spear Liberator, Bleoberis (G3) = Keep x1 if you did not get Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3) above.
   - Sentinel Card (G1) = Keep at least x1.

Basic Battle Strategies

   - You aim for this build is to call units from hand and deck to increase your field presence, column's Power, defense, and trigger chance!
Wingal Liberator (FV)Liberator of the Flute, Escrad (G2)
   - Wingal Liberator (FV) = Very nice FV especially when you don't have any Grade 2 card in hand to ride next turn ("grade stuck"). Use this to get Blaster Blade Liberator (G2) from your deck to your hand or keep as booster if your opponent can't retire it.

   - Try to deal more damage or at least increase your field presence early on by using Liberator of the Flute, Escrad (G2), even better if you also have Marron (G1) and Phallon (G2).

Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3)Steel Spear Liberator, Bleoberis (G3)Liberator of the Round Table, Alfred (G3)
   - Preferably, ride Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3) or Steel Spear Liberator, Bleoberis (G3) first to setup "Break Rides".
   - You can ride Liberator of the Round Table, Alfred (G3) only if your Damage is less than 4, or if you don't have a better choice, because he is more suitable as a rear-guard to call a unit when needed.

   - In case of a miss-ride, go and ride any viable Grade 3 Vanguard for now, then re-ride to your preferred Grade 3 Vanguard/s depending on the situation.

How To Use Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3)

Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3)Awakening Liberator, Freed (G3)
   - (VC): LB4 When rode upon, until end of turn, your Vanguard gets +10,000 Power, and 3 of your rear-guards get +5,000 Power. In addition, if your Vanguard is a "Liberator", add a Blaster Blade Liberator (G2) from your deck to your hand. If your deck has no Blaster Blade Liberator (G2), add from Drop Zone.

   - Try to setup at least 2 Boosters before riding another Grade 3 card to use his buffs.
   - Notable weakness for this skill are those that can retire units before your turn which is really annoying when done right, but you can still maximize Gancelot's (G3) skill by riding Awakening Liberator, Freed (G3) to call in 2 units first!

   - (VC): When this unit attacks a Vanguard, it gets +3,000 Power until end of battle.
   - That's 14,000 Power, so using a 7,000 Power Booster would help him reach 21,000 total Power.

How To Use Blaster Blade Liberator (G2)

Blaster Blade Liberator (G2)
   - (VC/RC) When placed, if your Vanguard is a "Liberator", CB2 to retire 1 of your opponent's rear-guards.

   - This is actually one of your win cons during the later part of the battle, so try to save at least 2 Counter Blasts to pop an intercept card and aim for game (especially when your opponent's Damage is at 5).
   - Get this card from Deck or Drop Zone by using your FV's skill or Solitary Liberator, Gancelot (G3).

Counter Blasts

Blaster Blade Liberator (G2)Liberator of the Flute, Escrad (G2)Awakening Liberator, Freed (G3)Steel Spear Liberator, Bleoberis (G3)Liberator of the Round Table, Alfred (G3)
   - Blaster Blade Liberator (G2) = When placed, if your Vanguard is a "Liberator", CB2 to retire 1 of your opponent's rear-guards.
   - Liberator of the Flute, Escrad (G2) = When this unit's attack hits a Vanguard, if your Vanguard is a "Liberator", CB1 to call the top card of your deck. Really good card during the early part of the battle.

   - Awakening Liberator, Freed (G3) = LB4 When placed, CB1 to call 2 cards from the top of your deck.
   - Steel Spear Liberator, Bleoberis (G3) = LB4 When rode upon, CB1 to have your Vanguard get +10,000 Power until end of turn. Call 2 cards from the top of your deck.
   - Liberator of the Round Table, Alfred (G3) = CB2 to look at 4 cards from the top of your deck, and call a "Liberator". This skill is s a bit costly but it would give you an opportunity to pick a card.

   - Note: Also consider other card effects that requires Counter Blasts if needed.

Soul Blasts

Fast Chase Liberator, Josephus (G1)
   - Fast Chase Liberator, Josephus (G1) = When placed from your deck, if your Vanguard is a "Liberator", SB1 to draw a card.

   - NOTE: Also consider other cards that can do Soul Blasts if needed.
