Vanguard ZERO: Narukami Indra Deck Build and Guide

Here's a quick guide and tips for Narukami Vajra Emperor, Indra Deck users in the RPG mobile card game Vanguard ZERO. Available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).

"Indra" and "Vayu" can be powered up by units of the same name on your rear-guard circles! On top of that, the power gain will continue with a certain number of rear-guards with the "Noble" trait on the field! Call a "Noble" to your back row, and use the skill of "Thousand Name" to increase Indra's critical!

Trigger Sets

Rank Fight Trigger Set

   - Refer to the build above (screenshot) for example Triggers Set for specific cards.

For Non Rank Fight Battles

   - NOTE: Feel free to experiment with other Trigger Sets according to your preference. Add more Critical Triggers and/or Stand Triggers if you want to use this deck for certain events, like non Rank Fights that would require you to finish the battle asap.

Narukami Battle Strategies

Mulligan (Starting Cards)

   - Any Grade 1 Card (G1) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 1 Vanguard, preferably Red River Dragoon (G1).
   - Any Grade 2 Card (G2) = Keep x1, to ensure a Grade 2 Vanguard, preferably Storm Bring Dragon (G2).
   - Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3) = Keep x1 to ensure a Grade 3 Vanguard. Keep x2 if you have the cards above.

   - Lightning of Hope, Helena (G1) = Keep x1 if you have the cards above.
   - Sentinel Card (G1) = Keep at least x1 (optional).

Basic Battle Strategies

   - You aim for this build is to collect copies of Indra (G3) and other "Noble" cards asap to start popping Sentinel Cards (PG) with Crit attacks!

   - During the early part of the battle, try to ride Red River Dragoon (G1) to avoid getting rushed. Ride Storm Bring Dragon (G2) next and activate it's skill (CB1) to search a Grade 3 card early on like Indra (G3), even better if you can place Lightning of Hope, Helena (G1) to help you search.

   - Ride your main Vanguard Indra (G3), but in case of a miss-ride, go with your sub Vanguards like Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion (G3) or Lord of the Demonic Winds, Vayu (G3). Re-ride Indra (G3) later on if you like.

How To Use Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3)

Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3)Thousand Name Wyvern Knight (G2)
   - (VC): When this unit attacks a Vanguard, CB1 to get Critical +1 for each of your other Indra (G3) until end of battle.
   - Place copies behind your Vanguard or to the back row to keep them safe. This strategy would not let you use a lot of Boosters, so try to rush your opponent with Crit attacks, while using your rear guards to clear all Intercepts.
   - Use Soul Blasts to activate Thousand Name Wyvern Knight's (G2) skill to change it's name the same as your Vanguard until end of turn, this way you can add more Crits to your Vanguard's attacks! Also place this card to the back row if needed.
   - Example: If you have 2~3 copies in play, you'll get Critical +3~+4, use this opportunity to deny your opponent's Limit Break skill by attacking while he/she is at 3~2 Damage!

   - Note: Place Desert Gunner, Shiden (G2) and/or Desert Gunner, Raien (G1) to disable your opponent's Grade 2 Intercept ability. Useful to help you deny those high base Power Intercepts and land more Damage or end the battle.

Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3)Lord of the Demonic Winds, Vayu (G3)Black Celestial Maiden, Kali (G3)
   - (VC): This unit gets +1,000 Power for each of your other Nobles.

   - Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3)
   - Lord of the Demonic Winds, Vayu (G3)
   - Black Celestial Maiden, Kali (G3)
   - This is where your "Noble" cards are useful because they can increase Indra's (G3) base Power during your turn and opponent's turn.

   - Example, placing 3 "Noble" cards to your back row would increase Indra's (G3) base Power to 13,000 forcing your opponent to adjust their columns when doing combos.
   - Adding 2 more to the front row would increase it to 15,000, now this is where you can possibly get more defense because your Grade 3 "Noble" units can act like Intercepts (your opponent might need to take them down first to decrease your Vanguard's base Power!).

Counter Blasts

Spark Kid Dragoon (FV)Storm Bring Dragon (G2)Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3)Vermillion G3
   - Spark Kid Dragoon (FV) = CB1 Put this unit into your Soul to look at 5 cards from the top of your deck, and add a Grade 3 or greater card to your hand. Easier to collect Grade 3 cards you need.
   - Storm Bring Dragon (G2) = When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, CB1 to look at 5 cards from the top of your deck, and add a Grade 3 or greater card to your hand.
    - Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3) = When this unit attacks a Vanguard, CB1 to get Critical +1 for each of your other Indra (G3) until end of battle.

   - Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion (G3) = LB4CB2 to get +2,000 Power and the following ability until end of turn. This unit battles every unit in your opponent's front row in 1 attack. Use if used as a sub Vanguard, also a good finisher if your opponent tries to block you with Intercepts.

   - Note: Also consider other card effects that requires Counter Blasts if needed.

Soul Blasts

Thousand Name Wyvern Knight (G2)
   - Thousand Name Wyvern Knight (G2) = If your Vanguard is a "Noble", SB1 to have this unit's name become the same as your Vanguard until end of turn.

How To Build 21,000+ Power Columns

Vanguard + Booster

   - Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion (G3) = 11,000 base Power Vanguard.

   - Vajra Emperor, Indra (G3) = 10,000 base Power Vanguard.
   - Indra (G1) + Red River Dragoon (G3) = 21,000 total Power (if you have 3 "Noble" cards in play).

   - Lord of the Demonic Winds, Vayu (G3) = 10,000 base Power Vanguard.
   - Vayu (G1) + Red River Dragoon (G3) = 21,000 total Power (if you have 3 "Noble" cards in play).
   - Vayu (G1) + Red River Dragoon (G3) = 29,000 total Power (with CB1 skill + 1 "Noble" card).

Rear Guards + Booster

   - Desert Gunner, Raien (G1) = 7,000 Power Booster.
   - Any 7,000 Booster (G1) + Any Rear Guard with 9,000~11,000 Power = 16,000~18,000 total Power (21,000~23,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff).

   - Red River Dragoon (G1) = 8,000 Power Booster.
   - Red River Dragoon (G1) + Any Rear Guard with 9,000~11,000 Power = 17,000~19,000 total Power (22,000~24,000 Power with +5,000 "Trigger Check" buff).

   - NOTE: Other cards not included here are also OK to use but some are very situational or unsustainable, use them if you like. Also adjust the numbers above depending on your Booster's Power.
