Witch PVP Skill Build and Combos
Duel PVP Skill Builds
Duel PVP Main Combo and Nuke Skills
Death Grip > AA > Warp Gate > AA > Lightning Slash > AA
- Do not use a full AA or else it will push your target, time it well.- Quickly dash away after using this combo (when opponent is on the ground), but do another AA if you were able to pin your enemy to the wall.
- Death Grip is your initiator and stun skill, you should master how to use this properly because it's cool-down is a bit long. One way is to move until you see the opponent right at the edge of the screen, then quickly move forward for a few steps and execute.
- Easier against non moving foes like Wizards who likes to spam auto attacks.
- Death Grip can also be used right after the enemy dashes near you, or when your AA's last attack - hits the target, just time it well.
- Warp Gate is your follow up nuke skill to lock the enemy with more hits, do another AA here while the Warp Gate is hitting the target!
- Note though that if the enemy is too close to you while stunned (especially near walls), Warp Gate will sometimes miss, so if that happens, move back a little if needed, or dash away instead if the enemy was able to ignore the stun and get close to you with attacks.
- Learn the cast range of Warp Gate and use this as your initiator skill, in case your Death Grip missed.
- Lightning Slash is your main nuke skill, knocks back enemy, but you can still sink some AAs, more if you pinned the target to a wall from midair AAs.
- If done right, this combo can give you 920% base damage plus 3~4 AA opportunities which is awesome!
Duel PVP Alternative Skill Selection
Dominator
- Combo: Death Grip > AA > Dominator > Move with quick AA > Lightning Slash > AA- If you were able to pin your enemy to the wall after the combo, do another AA.
- Stun locks are awesome, letting you deal so much damages and auto attacks, but watch out though because they can sometimes move away due to their "Stun Recovery" stat. If that happens, do not use a full AA while stunned, 2~4 hits will do.
- Dominator can also be your initiator skill. Dash towards the enemy and execute, or use any sneaky moves you have.
- Good alternative for the above main combo setup. Dominator is kinda risky though, in case your enemy is able to dash away from it's range, making you an easy target so be careful if used as initiator.
Stinging Lance
- Combo: Stinging Lance > Warp Gate > Move with quick AA > Lightning Slash > AA- Do another AA if enemy is pinned to the wall, while on the ground.
- With DEF reduction right from the start, your skills and AAs will get extra damages. Pretty good with 1050% base damage, almost on par with the main combo setup above if done right.
- You need to cleanly hit Stinging Lance, otherwise it would be risky to continue and spam your skills if your enemy is stronger. Check the Death Grip section above for some tips on how to land your Stinging Lance.
Other Skills
- Other skills are usable too, depending on your preference or play style.- Feel free to share your thoughts too. ^^
- Upgrading them all would also diversify your Skill Points, so I would recommend to focus on few skills first during early to mid game for all around use.
- Learn other skills that you like at later levels, since you'll be able to max them all out anyway.
Block, Counter and Dodge
- These 3 are still the best skills to master for PVP.Team PVP Skill Builds
Witch's Auto Attacks
- Witch's auto attacks are similar to Assassins, unfortunately you don't want to stay long if there are enemies nearby. Dash in and out of battles to avoid getting huge damages.- Use your auto attacks to help your teammates, or go and collect Buff and Life Orbs while your skills are in cool-down mode.
- Use your Block, Counter, and Dodge if needed.
Quick Tips for Witch
- Unlike Duel PVP, Team PVP will give you a lot of opportunities to accurately use your skills, so abuse your stun skills and lock enemies for your teammates. Witches are still kinda squishy so stun skills are your best ally for Team PVP.- You can also do a variety of powerful skill set-ups for Witch depending on your role, here are some examples. Just be careful and don't dive into clashing skill attack animations, because you might get caught and catch huge damages instead.
Team PVP Main Combo and Nuke Skills
- Same info above (Duel PVP section), but this time keep your eyes on possible incoming enemy attacks, and limit your AAs if there are enemies nearby. Remember, that while using skills, you are immune to stuns and knock backs, use this opportunity to dash out of enemy combos.
Death Grip > AA > Warp Gate > AA > Lightning Slash > AA
- Death Grip and Warp Gate can lock enemies for your allies, paired with Lightning Slash as your nuke, you now have an all around skill setup for Team PVP.- Avoid using Death Grip (pull) against enemies that are being attacked (with combos) by your allies, use Warp Gate first then go closer and use Death Grip to stun again.
- Lightning Slash also have a ring out potential if target is close to the edge. Use Death Grip while near the edges > move character then use Lightning Slash + AA to be sure.
Team PVP Alternative Skill Selection
Dominator
- Combo: Death Grip > AA > Dominator > Move > Lightning Slash > AA- Similar to the above skill setup.
- Combo: Dominator > Warp Gate > AA > Lightning Slash > AA
- You can also use Warp Gate first if you like.
- Your main role with this skill setup is to support your allies. Cast your AoE CC skills, whenever you see them attacking someone (easier to cast this way) or if they are being attacked (to force them to move out, if they can).
- Only do AAs if they got stunned/locked, Lightning Slash for nuke damage.
- Also use Dominator and Warp Gate to clear out enemies waiting for the Ultimate Orb.
- Dominator is a double edged sword because you are vulnerable while casting the skill, making you an easy target so be careful when using.
Stinging Lance
- Combo: Stinging Lance > Warp Gate > Move > Lightning Slash > AA- The DEF reduction and hit lock are also nice for team play, I prefer Warp Gate over Dominator because range is perfect for Stinging Lance's knock back, and you can clearly see the targets.
- Just be careful and don't dive into clashing skill attack animations, because you might get caught and catch huge damages instead.
Other Skills
- You can also do a variety of powerful skill set-ups for Witch depending on your style and how many AAs you can land (deciding factor), but better focus on few skills first during early to mid game for all around use (especially for beginners).- Learn other skills that you like at later levels, since you'll be able to max them all out anyway.
- Other skills are usable too, depending on your preference or play style.
- I did not mention them all because some of them are hard to execute or use with other skills, the risk isn't worth it, or they are more effective against weaker opponents.
- Feel free to share your thoughts though. ^^
Team PVP Alternative Skill Builds
- Here's another approach that I use for Team PVP. Note that the above build is still viable for late game, these are just alternatives to also try other skills.
Ring Out Play!
- -
Death Grip and/or Dominator > Hot Shot
- Stand near the edges of the map where you can do Ring Out plays, use your "Block" and "Dodge" if needed. Next, use Death Grip to pull a target, then quickly move your character and use Hot Shot to push him/her off the edge!
- Dominator is for enemies that are near or walking towards the edge, dash in then use Dominator > Hot Shot.
- Use both stun skills if needed, in-case they have high stun recovery. Another tricky way is to use Dominator to stun > Dash/Move near the edge > grab target using Death Grip > Move > Hot Shot!
- This is the only way to defeat very strong opponents, especially if you are the weakest in the arena. Even if these skills have low upgrades, it's ok as long that you can do ring outs.
- Combo: Stinging Lance > Lightning Slash > Frozen Spear
- Combo: Stinging Lance > Toxic Chains (if can hit well > AA) > Lightning Slash
- Pros: These combos got similar damage output and nice DPS, with bonus debuffs! CD is also shorter than most skill set-ups above, which would give you more chance to do attacks. For best results, use them if you are stronger than most enemies that you encounter.
- Cons: No stun, and kinda risky to spam against stronger enemies (combos vs combos).
Spam DPS Skills (13~15 CD)
Stinging Lance as Initiator and Debuff
- , , or
- Combo: Stinging Lance > Lightning Slash > Hot Shot- Combo: Stinging Lance > Lightning Slash > Frozen Spear
PVE Skill Build
- Once you figure out what to use for PVP, you can now easily select which PVE skills to get.DPS Ratings (Base Damages Only)
- Uppercut + Overhand Strike: 270% + 270% (13 seconds) = 41.5- Stinging Lance + Hot Shot: 270% + 270% (15 seconds) = 36.0
- Dominator + Toxic Chains: 300% + 260% (17 seconds) = 32.9
- Death Grip + Lightning Slash: 300% + 260% (18 seconds) = 31.1
- Warp Gate + Frozen Spear: 300% + 260% (16 seconds) = 35.0
PVP and PVE Skill Build (All Around Use)
- As much as possible only focus on 3 skill trees for both PVP and PVE to maximize your Skill Points, especially early to mid game.- Try other skills once your main skills are maxed.
- Based from the recommended PVP skills above, use and upgrade the following skills.
1) Death Grip + Lightning Slash
- Max both skills to increase Damage Output and decrease Cool-down.- For PvE, you may replace this skill set with better DPS (refer above) at later stage of the game where most skills are maxed, unless you want to use this for mob clearing.
2) Any Skill Set (depends on preference)
- Uppercut + Overhand Strike- Only recommended for PvE, notable DPS, usable for early game even with 0 upgrades.
- A must have once it is almost maxed at later stage of the game (preferably for boss fights).
- Dominator + Toxic Chains
- Max Dominator if used for PVP.
- Only upgrade Toxic Chains if you need more fire power for PVE and once you get extra skill points, also cap them to Lvl 9~30 first (multiples of 3) to save up SP. If used for PVP, cap around 30~45.
- Only replace the un-upgraded Uppercut+ Overhand Strike skill set if Dominator is almost Lvl 60, unless you want to use this for mob clearing.
- Stinging Lance + Hot Shot
- Max Stinging Lance if used for PVP.
- Only upgrade Hot Shot if you need more fire power for PVE and once you get extra skill points, also cap them to Lvl 9~30 first (multiples of 3) to save up SP. If used for PVP, cap around 30~45.
- With Lvl 30 Stinging Lance, you may replace the un-upgraded Uppercut+ Overhand Strike skill set.
3) Warp Gate + Frozen Spear
- Upgrade Frozen Spear if you need more damage for PVE, but cap them to Lvl 9~30 first (multiples of 3) to save up SP for your Main Skills. If used for PVP, cap around 30~45.- Max Warp Gate.
Preferred Skill Still Unlocked?
- In case the skill isn't unlocked yet, just go for any skill for now, but do not upgrade them. Note that it is best to use a temporary Skill with a Combo Skill unlocked for PVE because of higher damage output (250% + 200% is better than using a single 300% upgraded skill for example).Final Notes
- Please note that this is not the only way to play Witch, also try other skills as well since you can max them all in the end.- If you find any discrepancies with the skill info above (base damage or CD) due to game update patches, please notify us, thanks.
- Hope you find our skill build useful, good luck! ^^
