Here's an example character build for the dungeon crawling action RPG mobile game Dungeon Chronicle. Available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
Example Build for Dungeon Chronicle
- This build will focus on easy to use skills with good accuracy and DPS.- Skills that will allow you to move freely are highly recommended, to avoid dangerous skills and traps that can kill your character in seconds!

Weapons and Gears to Get
Weapons
- Get 1 Great Wizard's Staff, 1 Marksman's Shotgun and 1 Guardian's Sword- Sword weapon can be any.
- Upgrade them with Scrolls, and try to get better weapons with higher stats as you go.
Note:
- Use your Sword to reduce incoming damages and get better and faster life steal per attack. Best used when you are totally mobbed by monsters, or if your character's HP is below 50%.
- Use your Wand/Staff to get better and faster MP regeneration per attack (until you can buy a costume with Rubies).
Equipment
Great Wizard Set Gears- Get 2 "Great Wizard" Set Items (+Weapon = Unlocks 3rd Set Bonus)
- This will allow you to summon all Hydras at once.
- TIP: Getting 3 set items is also good to unlock the 4th Set Bonus. The bonus attack speed is useful for Swordsman's auto attack + life steal combo (check below skills).
Marksman Set Gears
- Get 2 "Marksman" Set Items (+Weapon = Unlocks 3rd Set Bonus)
- This will allow you to install all Sentry Guns at once, great vs mobs, excellent vs bosses.
Guardian Set Gears NEW!
- Get 1 "Guardian" Set Item (+Weapon = Unlocks 1st Set Bonus)
- The 1st bonus will allow you to become immune to freeze during Berserk Mode. Using auto-attacks will also give you an ability to disable invincible auras of bosses!
- This addition will give you full control of the game now.
- TIP: Getting 3 more set items will also unlock the 4th set bonus, that gives 4 Guardian soldiers that can fight with you as long that your Berserk Mode is active. You'll need to get a special Amulet though to use this together with the sets above, check below for more info.
Other Gears
- For items that you still need, just go for any gear with better stats, or if you want to try other set effects, go for it. Focus more on their overall Defense stats.
Accessories
Rings- Any, just keep on getting better and higher stats from loots.
- Find an Amulet that can increase all Set Effects to +1.
- Note: If you have this item, you can replace 1 item for every Set mentioned above to give you a way to experiment with other set effects.
Summary of Gears To Get (If with Amulet)
- 1 Amulet that can increase all Set Effects to +1.- Get 1 Great Wizard's Staff, 1 Marksman's Shotgun and 1 Guardian's Sword
Great Wizard Set Gears
- Get 1 "Great Wizard" Set Items (+Weapon = Unlocks 3rd Set Bonus)
- or Get 2 "Great Wizard" Set Items (+Weapon = Unlocks 3rd and 4th Set Bonuses)
Marksman Set Gears
- Get 1 "Marksman" Set Items (+Weapon = Unlocks 3rd Set Bonus)
Guardian Set Gears NEW!
- Get 1 "Guardian" Set Item (+Weapon = Unlocks 1st Set Bonus)
- or Get 2 "Guardian" Set Item (+Weapon = Unlocks 1st and 4th Set Bonuses)
*You have 1 extra item slot if you have all the set items above, this can be any gear. Feel free to experiment with other set gears too.
Skills To Learn (For This Build)
Wizard Skills
Main Skill: Hydra- With set gears you can summon up to 3 Hydras at once, excellent skill vs mobs and bosses. Spam with Sentry Guns for maximum effect.
- The best thing about this skill is that you can cast and run, nice for dodging dangerous skills.
Main Skill: Meteor
- Meteor is an AoE skill with burst and area damages.
- Best used against bosses, especially when there are no mobs around (your Hydras and Sentry Guns can help clear them). Time it well and avoid using though while the boss has damage immunity.
- The best thing about this skill is that you can cast and run, nice for dodging dangerous skills.
- Tip: During Meteor, you can switch to your Sword weapon to increase survivability, letting you dive in to mobs without worry. Start auto attacking mobs or bosses to get life steals while your Meteor is pouring at them. This is great especially when you are challenging higher floors where bosses can take your HP down.
- Combo Tip: Combo with Earthquake to stun mobs and focus your meteors in one place.
Marksman Skills
Main Skill: Sentry Gun- Similar to Hydra, set gears will let you summon more, excellent skill vs mobs and bosses. Spam them both for maximum effect.
- The best thing about this skill is that you can cast and run, nice for dodging dangerous skills.
Secondary Skill: Flying Attack
- This is great for clearing mobs, the only drawback is that you are stuck in midair which could make your character vulnerable to lightning balls, meteor strikes, and more.
- Note: It can't hit monsters that are directly below, so give some space before using this skill.
- Combo Tip: Combo with Berserk to increase DPS.
Swordsman Skills
Secondary Skill: Earthquake- The main reason why I prefer this stun skill over the others, is because you can use your sword to increase survivability while your skills are raining down. Perfect for challenging higher floor levels.
- Note: Stunned enemies will receive +20% damage.
Secondary Skill: Berserk
- This buff can increase damage, crit rates, move/attack speed, and more.
- Use whenever you like.
- TIP: Get the 2nd set bonus of Guardian Set Items (swordsman class) to become immune to freeze and remove the invincible auras of bosses, while in Berserk mode.
Secondary Skill: Whirlwind
- Use this as an emergency escape skill, if you messed up with your teleport/dodge skill.
Basic Combo Patterns (For This Build)
Basic Pattern vs Mobs
- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor > Flying Attack
- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Earthquake > Flying Attack (quickly use while enemies are stunned)
- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor > Earthquake (enhances Meteor's DPS)
- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor > Earthquake > Flying Attack
- TIP: For best results, it's best to lure and mob them up first before using combos.
- Note: Use Berserk whenever you like.
Basic Pattern vs Boss (with or without mobs)
Floor Bosses- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor > Earthquake (stun) > Auto Attack with Sword (life steal+MP regen). Repeat once your Sentry guns disappears.
- Note: Use Berserk whenever you like, and Auto attacks might not be needed against easy bosses.
- Flying Attack is only good for easy bosses, use after Earthquake if you like.
Dungeon Keeper (Can't be stunned so no Earthquake)
- Sentry Guns > Hydras > Meteor > Auto Attack with Sword (life steal+MP regen). Repeat once your Sentry guns disappears.
- Note: Use Berserk whenever you like.
- Flying Attack is only good for easy bosses, use after Meteor.
- TIP: If the enemy is too hard for you, keep spamming your main skills (sentries and hydras) then move away. Regenerate your HP and MP using other monsters around, then repeat.
Nastiest Enemy Boss Skill!
- Being frozen is the nastiest boss skill in the game, especially when you are playing maxed challenge mode. Once you get hit by a freezing attack, be ready to tap on the Mini-Map to escape that floor.
- TIP: If you are having trouble with these freezing attacks, you can get the swordsman class Guardian Set's Immunity to Freeze set bonus.
