ZENONIA S: Rifts in Time - Paladin Stats and Skill Builds

Paladins are a healer class with balanced ATK and DEF from a powerful weapon and sturdy shield. Uses divine powers to attack and various skills to heal. Suitable for beginners.

Suggested Stats Allocation
   - FULL STA Build (Awakening Points: 5 STA)
   - Total STR and STA stats: Keep them around 70%~60% STA; and 30%~40% STR. Yup, you still need STR.
   - OR 2 STA and 1 STR (Awakening Points: 3 STA and 2 STR) - Total STR and STA stats: Keep them around 50% STA; and 50% STR.
ZENONIA S: Rifts in Time - Paladin Stats and Skill Builds
- Paladin Stat Building Guide -

Stat Build Until Lvl 35
   - HP: as high as possible (Stamina+, HP+).
   - ATK: as high as possible, aim around 1700+ (STR+, ATK+, Stamina+).
   - DEF: collect and upgrade your gears to get the DEF bonuses, if you need more, get (Stamina+DEF+). Aim for 700+ or 800+ for Chapter 8 and 9 Normal.

   - CRIT RATE: just aim near 40% if you can (CRIT RATE+%, STR+).
   - Evasion: getting this to around 40% will also help dodge some attacks (Evasion+%).
   - CRIT DMG: just get what you can for now, make sure to cover CRIT RATE first before increasing.
   - MP: leave it for now, or just get the bonus MP+ from Necklace upgrade bonus.
   - Accuracy: 120+ to 130+ should be fine.

   - When resetting Stats, I highly suggest you check the stats available per item gear here: Paladin Stat Reset Guide
______________________________

Stat Build Lvl 35 to 60
   - Unlock Hero Mode First. Note that monsters from here on are stronger than before so it is normal to grind if you get stuck.
   - Reminder: Upgrade your gears (especially weapon), battle pets (summon for boss fights), fairies, increase awakening stars, and upgrade some Seals.

   - HP: as high as possible (Stamina+, HP+).
   - ATK: as high as possible (STR+, ATK+, Stamina+).
   - DEF: collect and upgrade your gears to get the DEF bonuses, if you need more, get (Stamina+DEF+) stats. Aim for at least 2000+ DEF for Chapter 9 Hero Mode, more if you want.

   - CRIT RATE: just cap it around 100% first (CRIT RATE+%, INT+), increase if you want more but do not exceed far from 200%.
   - CRIT DMG: as high as possible, aim for at least 100%+ to 150%+ around Lvl 50, and 250%+ around Lvl 60. (CRIT DMG+%, INT+). It is also ok to limit this one to 100% to 200% if you want, to focus more on other stats.
   - Evasion: Just cap it around 70% first (Evasion+%). Increase at later Lvls to around 100% or 150% to evade some attacks.

   - Accuracy: Only increase if you miss a lot in PvE, or increase to around 200+ to 250+ for PVP purposes (Stamina+Accuracy+). If you are a PVP enthusiast , you need to increase this more, unless the meta changes and everyone drops their Evasion.
   - MP: Just get the bonus MP+ from Necklace upgrade bonuses, and MP Seals.

   - When resetting Stats, I highly suggest you check the stats available per item gear here: Paladin Stat Reset Guide

   - Don't forget to upgrade some of your SEALS too.

Example Stats Build At Lvl 50 to 60
   - If you reached this point, you probably know now what you are doing.
Zenonia S Paladin Stats Build
   - Note: Stats above are not fully optimized, there is still room for improvement. Add in more stats according to your needs or play style.

Other Stats
   - Reflect+%: This could be a game changer at higher levels, add in to your T12 Weapons and/or T10+ Amulets. This stat will reflect incoming damages back to the enemy depending on the percentage of your Reflect stat!

- Paladin Skill Build -
Important Note!   - Due to the new revamped skills update, the skill build below is not 100% working. I will update this guide once they release the final patch notes of the revamped Skills and Stats.
By default, skill sets below are focused for PVE or leveling purposes. Note that this is not the only way to build your skills! There are so many skill builds around that is also viable.

Fast Normal Attacks (Optional)
   - Method: Similar to Slashers, right after your Paladin's first attack animation, quickly move your character to any direction to reset the attack animation, then just spam repeat until all monsters are dead. Start by going into 1 direction (Back > Slash > Back > Slash is easier and faster to practice), do this to avoid some damages and possible stuns.
   - If you are seeing a bunch of red numbers stacking while moving, and not getting any hits, then you are doing it right. Practice on Chapters 5/1, 7-1 or 7-8 for example.

*After the v1.0.8 update patch, you can start farming Soul Stones from the Fairy Tower at Lvl 10. It's way easier now, so Awaken your character as fast as possible. Enhance your Fairies also with Fairy Dusts and evolve to get more stats!

Lvl 20 to 29 with 2 Stars

   - Shieldstun = Lvl 1
   - Hammer Poll = Lvl 3 or 6
   - Holy Cross = Lvl 1
   - Great Sacrifice = Lvl 1
   - Divine Protection = Lvl 1

   - DMG Increase = MAX Lvl 6
   - DEF Increase = MAX Lvl 6

   - Reserved Skill Points = 15 or 12

   - Gather mobs then use Hammer Poll to deal great damages. Note that during the animation, your hero is invulnerable from enemy attacks, use this to avoid powerful boss attacks later. Also remember that Hammer Poll can stun and disrupt healing boss monsters, just time it well.

At Lvl 20
   - Go with Hammer Poll, Great Sacrifice, Holy Cross, and Divine Protection.
   - Now, follow this example Combo:
   - Sac > Cross > Hammer. If your Cross knocked backed the monsters, do a quick dash before Hammering them.
   - Use Divine Protection to increase DEF and deal splash damages, nice after using the combo above. Works great with battle pets too!

   - Also try to get a Necklace asap to increase your MP pools. Stay at Lvl 3 Hammer Poll until you get one...but if your MP can freely support the combo above, upgrade Hammer Poll to 4 or 6 and Divine Protection to 3 or 5, depending on your MP pool. You should always be able to freely spam the combo.
______________________________

Lvl 30 to 39 with 3 or 4 Stars
   - Hammer Poll = Max Lvl 9 or 12
   - Divine Protection = Lvl 5 (just to increase duration to 12 sec.)
   - Blessed Novelties = Lvl 3 (just to increase duration to 12 sec.)

   - DMG Increase = Max Lvl 9 or 12
   - DEF Increase = Max Lvl 9 or 12
   - Vengeance = Lvl 6

   - Reserved Skill Points = 5 (3 Stars) or 1 (4 Stars)

   - Sac > Cross > Hammer > Divine
   - or Sac+Ham > Divine > Sac+Ham > Blessed Novelties > Sac+Ham
   - Do not use Blessed Novelties though if you still have lots of HP potions, balance it to save some MP pots.

Chapter 9-5 to 9-10
   - Clear 2 mobs per map here, wait for the cooldowns of your skills before taking on the next monster mob or before entering maps.
   - The 2nd combo above works well here, you can also use Divine Protection first to gather mobs, then use Sac > Hammer to clear them.
   - Another method is to dive into the mob and use [Sac > Hammer > Divine] then [Sac > Hammer > Blessed Novelties], nice for boss fights too.

   - The key is to try to save as many pots as possible for all boss fights. If you can't, upgrade everything that needs upgrading.

Hero Mode Unlocked
   - Monsters are stronger now, continue and upgrade everything.
   - Continue and use the combos above.
   - If needed, clear monsters one by one or by group to save pots, and do Fast Normal Attacks while avoiding enemy attacks.

Temple Keepers (Chapter 4)
   - Same, just go closer and hit them from their blind spots.
______________________________

Lvl 40 to 49 with 5 Stars
Zenonia S Paladin Skills Build
   - Hammer Poll = Max Lvl 15
   - Holy Land = Lvl 1

   - DMG Increase = Max Lvl 15
   - DEF Increase = Max Lvl 15
   - Vengeance = Lvl 12

   - Reserved Skill Points = 0

Holy Land
   - Great damages as long that the enemy is inside the chronosphere, too bad bosses tend to flee when their HP is getting low...unlike AI PvP matches where...you know hehe.
   - The chronosphere lasts for around 6 seconds I think, if no monsters are around.

Example Combos To Use:
   - Sac > Holy Land > Hammer > Divine > Sac+Ham (mix in your battle pet too!)
   - or Sac+Ham > Divine > Holy Land > Sac+Ham
   - or Hammer > Holy Land > Divine > Hammer > Novelties > Hammer
   - As usual, wait for their CDs before entering another map.
______________________________

Lvl 50 and Above
   - Vengeance = MAX Lvl 15
   - Passive Master = MAX Lvl 15 (increases the base bonus stat of all passive skills except Vengeance, a nice skill at higher levels.) Reserve or put Skill Points here, and wait until it is fixed. Passive Master is NOT working at the moment, stats doesn't increase at certain Lvls after Lvl 1.

   - Divine Descent = Lvl 1 (Optional Skill)
   - Also a great skill for PVP and Raids. Just get Lvl 1 if you want, including Power of Punishment.

   - Blessing (Optional Skill)
   - A nice passive skill for Full STA builds at higher levels, put your remaining points here.
______________________________

The End Game
   - Once you are done with the story line and all available modes, it's time to reach the Max Lvl.
   - Continue or reconfigure your skills for Auto-Battle Grinding, then reset again if you want for PVP builds last. Experiment and have fun!

Optional Auto Grinding Skill Build
   - For higher levels auto grinding build, add in any skills you want next.
   - Yup, this one requires skill resets, but optional.
Zenonia S Paladin Auto Skills Build

Kindly note that this is my first run playing as Paladin from scratch. I just posted this early to give you guys my initial idea on how to build Paladins, Happy playing fellow Zenonians! ^^

ZENONIA S: Rifts in Time - Enhancing, Tier Up, and Upgrading Item Gears

Enhancing is a way to level up your gears to make it better and usable for a longer period of time. Once your gear reaches max level from enhancing, you can Tier Up the gear or Upgrade its Grade making it a whole new gear to use.
- Hunting For Item Gears! -

Main Gears
   - After the v1.0.8 update patch, the Lvl requirement of gears has disappeared, and replaced by the Tier System, for more info, go here: New Equipment System - Tiers and Recycles
   - For new players, follow the Tier System, and ignore the Equipment Lvl.

Types of Main Gears

Regular Set Gears
   - Can be farmed from Dungeon Stages
   - They can also be obtained from Mission Rewards and various in-game events (Weapon and Shield Coupons).
   - Regular Set Gears includes: Destroyer, Duelist, Adventurer, and Guardian set types.
   - These are the Prefixes or Set Types you can find from your item's names.

Rare Set Gears
   - The Transcendentalist is a rare prefix that can be obtained upon upgrading to A, S or SS (also after upgrading T12 gears).

Set Effects
   - An item with (S) on their icons means that your gear's set effect is active.
______________________________

Accessories
   - These items rotates every 2 Tiers, so it's good to invest on them. Can be obtained from Arena victory rewards, V Pts weekly rewards, Missions and Login events (Accessory Coupons).
______________________________

Item Grades and Bonuses
   - Higher Grades and Tier Lvls yields higher stat bonuses.

   - Grade SS = 4 Stat Bonuses (3 Gem Slots)
   - Grade S = 3 Stat Bonuses (3 Gem Slots)
   - Grade A = 3 Stat Bonuses (2 Gem Slots)
   - Grade B = 2 Stat Bonuses  (2 Gem Slots)
   - Grade C = 1 Stat Bonus (1 Gem Slot)
   - Grade D = 0 Stat Bonuses (0 Gem Slots)

The v1.1.5 Update Patch:
   - You can now Upgrade MAX enhance level Transcendentalist equipment to SSS grade!
An additional gem slot will be added to all SSS equipment.
______________________________

- Step #1: Enhancing Items! -
Enhancing will only increase the primary stats of the item, not the bonuses.

Never Let Yourself Run Out of Gold!
   - Enhancing is one of the biggest money sinkers in the game, choose your items wisely and stop if you feel that the enhancing fee is way too much.
   - Always maintain at least 200k to 500k Gold for other things.

Enhancing
Zenonia S Enhancing Gears
   - Items with higher Grade and Tier will give better results.
   - Each item included regardless of the item's Grade and Tier will increase the fee by a fixed rate, so it's better to aim for the minimum number of items possible to reach 5/5 enhancement.

   - Examples:
   - S > SS = use Grade B, A, S, and/or SS
   - A > S = use Grade C weapons, B, and/or A
   - B > A = use Grade C weapons and/or B
   - C > B = use Grade C
   - D > C = use Grade D weapons, preferably high Tier ones.
   - (Grade D is ok, but only for Accessories)
______________________________

Salvage All Grade "D" Gears
Zenonia S Salvaging gears
   - Yep, do not use them at all for enhancing, because these items will only increase your fee and will give very poor results, unless it's for upgrading grade D gears.
   - It's also an excellent way to get [Evolve Points], do salvage them from the start!
   - Grade C non-weapon items can also be salvaged if your inventory is getting full, start from your lowest Tier item gears. Note that weapons gives better results than other type of gears.
   - Preferably, salvage Grade D and C items early game that you don't need, like Tier 0 to 2 items.
   - Grade D accessories on the other hand are ok to keep since accessories are somewhat harder to get.
   - You can use and configure the "Auto Select" feature to quickly scan and salvage all Grade D items in your inventory.
______________________________

- Step #2A: Tier Up Items! (Increase Tier Lvl) -

Only if the TIER UP option is available for your item after MAX Enhance, check the New Equipment System - Tiers and Recycles section for more info, then go back here.

Example Scenario:

   - You now have a Maxed Enhanced (5/5) Grade C - Tier 2 Item, ready to go Tier 3.
   - Use Crystal, Evolve Points, or ZEN to tier up and improve the basic stats of your equipment.

Crystals
Zenonia S Crystals
   - As much as possible, use Crystals for this one, farm from Boss Raid rewards.
   - Save your Evolve Points for Resetting (or use if you want, especially when you can't really find a party for Raids), and also save ZEN for better options.

Results:
   - Only the item's Base or Primary Stat will increase like DEF or ATK.
   - Bonus Stats will remain, however, higher stats range can be unlocked upon "Resetting" the item.
   - For lower Tiers, I don't think it's a good idea to reset every after Tier Up. To save more resources, better do it after Upgrading the Grade, reaching the Tier Limit of the item, or once you get stuck while doing dungeon runs.
   - Set Stats and Set Type (Prefix) will remain.
______________________________

- Step #2B: Upgrading Items (Increase Grade Rank) -

Upgrading the item to the next Grade will add additional bonus Stat or Gem Slot depending on the next Grade. Refer to the "Item Grade and Bonuses" section above for the number of Stats and Gem Slots per grade.

This feature is only done if the UPGRADE option is available for your item after MAX Enhance, check the New Equipment System - Tiers and Recycles section for more info, then go back here.
Example Scenario:
   - You now have a Maxed Enhanced (5/5) Grade C - Tier 4 Item, ready to be upgraded to Grade B.
   - You have 2 Choices here, upgrade with Upgrade Stones, or combine 2 Identical Equipment.

Upgrading with 2 Identical Equipment
   - The Base and the other item must be of the same Item Type (hero class; weapon or armor), Grade and Tier Lvl, both items must also be Maxed Enhanced (5/5). Item Names doesn't matter.

Results:
   - The item's Base or Primary Stat will increase like DEF or ATK.
   - Bonus Stats will remain, however, higher stats range can be unlocked upon "Resetting" the item.
   - Set Type (Prefix) will randomly change. This is acceptable at lower Grades (D, C and maybe B) since you will Upgrade them fast anyway, but for Grades A, and S, (B is optional) it's better to use Upgrade Stones to easily maintain the Set Type/Prefix.

   - In case you don't like the current Prefix of you item, or if you want to gamble using separate items other than your equipped items, then it's ok to upgrade with this method.
   - If you didn't get the Prefix you wanted after the upgrade, the only way now is to upgrade it again to the next Grade Lvl, since you can't use Recycle. It's not a waste though because you can still use it for later upgrades also.

   - Set Stats will greatly increase once you reach B, S, and SS Grades.
______________________________

Upgrade Using Upgrade Stones
   - Just the base item, plus the type and required number of Upgrade Stones.
   - For more info about Upgrade Stones and how to farm them, go here: Monster Wave Info and Tips. You can also get more from carious in-game events and mission rewards.

Results:
   - The item's Base or Primary Stat will increase like DEF or ATK.
   - Bonus Stats will remain, however, higher stats range can be unlocked upon "Resetting" the item.
   - Set Stats will greatly increase once you reach Grade B, S, and SS.
   - Set Type (Prefix) will remain the same. It's better to use Upgrade Stones to upgrade Grade B or A and above gears depending on your resources, with the Set Type Prefix you like. Use it to maintain the Prefixes of your items.
______________________________

- Monster Wave: The New Upgrade Stones -

Farming Upgrade Stones
   - This should be your main priority once you complete your Zen farming, and possibly only the reason now why you want to clear Monster Waves, especially at higher Lvls.

   - Sunday = Accessory Stones
   - Monday = Shield Stones
   - Tuesday = Weapon Stones
   - Wednesday = Shield Stones
   - Thursday = Accessory Stones
   - Friday = Shield Stones
   - Saturday = Weapon Stones

What Are These Stones?

   - It is used to to upgrade your gear's Grade Lvl (ex: A to S), to make them stronger.
   - For more info go here: Enhancing, Tier Up, and Upgrading Item Gears

Strategy for Farming
   - Rush and reach the highest Difficulty available, and stay and farm there. For low level players, just reach what you can and at least wipe 1 wave to clear a level and receive the rewards.

   - When the battle starts, just try and clear 1 wave, if you still can't clear it, go to the lower level to farm. Don't worry, if you fail, you will not lose your [Daily Entrance] ticket, just the 3 Battle Stamina.

   - When the 2nd wave starts, quickly move and stick to the sides and corners while running around the map. If you think you can clear the wave, then go on, if not, then just continue running around.
   - No need to Attack or use Dash, because it will sometimes make your character lag a little bit. Don't worry if the monsters catches you, they will lag too anyways because of their attack animations.
   - Now, just wait for the timer to expire.

Monster Wave Trick: Stone Farming
   - By manipulating the time where the day changes in the game, and the time where the server resets and gives you additional 3 tickets, you can actually get more stones that you need.

Shield Stones Farming
   - Follow in order and assuming you are farming under Difficulty Lv. 6.
   - Sunday = Today is an Accessory Stone day.
   - Wait for 11PM (GMT+8) to let the game advance to the next day, which is Monday = Shield Stone day.
   - Now, use available entries (x3) to farm Shield Stones from 11PM (GMT+8) to 3AM (GMT+8). Yes, before the server resets, and you only have a 4 hours window to do this.
   - Next, after the server resets at 3AM (GMT+8), your available entries will refresh back to x3. Use that again to farm more Shield Stones!

Shield Stones
   - Do the method above every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and you'll be able to get 108 Shield Stones per week!

Weapon Stones
   - Do the method above every Monday and Friday, and you'll be able to farm 72 Weapon Stones per week!

Accessory Stones
   - Do the method above every Wednesday and Saturday, and you'll be able to farm 72 Accessory Stones per week!

*Note: Reset time might change due to daylight savings time.

Farming Gold and Points

   - Your least priority, just reach what you can while farming Upgrade Stones.

Clearing Waves
   - Note: You need to clear at least 1 wave and survive to get Gold and Ranking Points.

   - Just clear and reach the highest waves you can per difficulty stage, or farm on the stage with the highest Gold you can generate.
   - AoE skills really works best here, mob them all up then fire your skills.

   - If you know that you can't survive the next wave, do this:
   - Clear your current wave, then just run around in the next wave.
   - or clear some monsters around until you have 1 or 2 left, when the timer is below 10 or 5 seconds, kill them, this way, your progress will end on the next wave, giving you more Ranking Points.

Ranking Rewards
   - Your Rank is based on the total Ranking Points you gathered.
   - Total Ranking Points is the total of all "Best Scores" you have per difficulty stage.
   - Go to the "Ranking Rewards" section to check your current Rank and expected Reward after the season or week. Note though that rewards varies depending on the current in-game event.
